AutoKeyMaster provides professional locksmith services, including emergency locksmith assistance and related security services.

Services may include:

  • Emergency locksmith services
  • House and property lockout assistance
  • Vehicle lockout and car opening
  • Lock installation
  • Lock repair
  • Lock replacement
  • Safe opening
  • Other locksmith work agreed with the customer

The exact service provided will depend on the customer’s requirements, the condition and type of lock or security system, and the circumstances identified at the time of the visit.

Important: AutoKeyMaster does not currently offer vehicle key programming as part of the services described on this website.

3. Emergency and Call-Out Services

Emergency locksmith services may be requested by telephone, email, website contact form or other agreed communication method.

When an emergency call-out is requested, the customer agrees to provide accurate information about the location, type of property or vehicle, the problem encountered and any other information reasonably required to assess and carry out the requested service.

Arrival times are estimates and may be affected by traffic, weather, distance, availability, previous emergency work, access conditions or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

4. Customer Authority and Identity Verification

A customer requesting an opening service must have lawful authority to request access to the property, vehicle, safe or other secured item.

AutoKeyMaster may request reasonable evidence of identity, ownership, tenancy, authority or other entitlement before or during an opening service.

Where appropriate, details relating to the customer, the request, identity verification and the work carried out may be recorded in accordance with applicable legal, regulatory and PSA requirements.

The customer/requesting party is responsible for confirming that they have the legal right and authority to request the service. AutoKeyMaster may refuse or stop a service where reasonable evidence of entitlement cannot be established.

5. Quotations and Pricing

Where reasonably possible, AutoKeyMaster will provide an estimated price or quotation before work begins.

The final price may depend on the actual condition of the lock, vehicle, safe, door, security system or other equipment once it has been inspected.

Additional work or replacement parts will be discussed with the customer where reasonably possible before additional charges are incurred.

Unless otherwise agreed, prices are payable in euro.

Where a total price cannot reasonably be determined in advance, AutoKeyMaster will explain the basis on which the price will be calculated.

6. Payment

Unless otherwise agreed in advance, payment is due when the agreed service has been completed.

Payment methods may include:

  • Cash
  • Card
  • Revolut
  • Bank transfer

Where a deposit or advance payment is agreed, the amount and purpose of that payment will be communicated to the customer.

7. Locksmith Opening Work

Locksmith opening is carried out using methods appropriate to the particular lock, vehicle, safe or security system and the circumstances of the job.

Every lock and security system is different. AutoKeyMaster cannot guarantee that every opening will be possible without damage.

Where non-destructive entry is not reasonably possible, the customer will be informed where circumstances allow and alternative options may be discussed.

If a lock, cylinder, component or security device requires replacement, repair or additional work, this will be treated as additional work unless already included in the agreed quotation.

8. Vehicle Opening

Vehicle opening services are provided only where AutoKeyMaster is satisfied that the person requesting the service has appropriate authority to access the vehicle.

The customer may be asked to provide identification, vehicle registration information, proof of ownership or other reasonable evidence of entitlement.

AutoKeyMaster does not accept responsibility for consequences arising from a customer’s false, incomplete or misleading representation of their authority to access a vehicle.

9. Safe Opening

Safe opening depends on the type, model, condition and security mechanism of the safe.

Where damage-free opening cannot reasonably be achieved, the available options and potential consequences will be discussed with the customer where circumstances permit.

10. Parts, Locks and Replacement Components

Where a replacement lock, cylinder, safe component or other part is required, the customer will be informed of the applicable additional cost before the work proceeds where reasonably possible.

Manufacturer warranties, where applicable, are separate from any service provided by AutoKeyMaster and are subject to the relevant manufacturer’s terms.

11. Customer Responsibilities

The customer agrees to:

  • Provide accurate information about the service required.
  • Provide reasonable access to the property, vehicle, safe or equipment concerned.
  • Provide evidence of lawful authority where reasonably requested.
  • Inform AutoKeyMaster about known security systems, alarms, special circumstances or relevant restrictions.
  • Pay the agreed charges for services provided.
  • Treat the technician with reasonable respect and provide a safe working environment.

12. Safe Working Conditions

AutoKeyMaster may refuse, postpone or stop work where the working environment presents a serious safety risk to the customer, technician or members of the public.

This may include dangerous electrical conditions, fire hazards, structural instability, aggressive behaviour, unlawful activity or other circumstances creating a significant safety risk.

13. Cancellation and Changes to Appointments

Customers should contact AutoKeyMaster as soon as possible if they need to cancel or change an appointment.

Any cancellation charges, where applicable, will be communicated to the customer before they become payable and will be proportionate to the circumstances.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits or excludes any statutory cancellation or termination rights that apply to the customer’s contract.

Emergency services: Consumer cancellation rules may differ where a customer has specifically requested urgent repairs or maintenance and the relevant statutory exception applies.

14. Consumer Rights

These Terms & Conditions are subject to applicable Irish and European consumer protection law.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to remove, restrict or exclude a consumer’s statutory rights.

Where a service is not provided in accordance with the contract, applicable consumer law may provide remedies including repair, re-performance, proportionate price reduction or termination, depending on the circumstances.

Where a statutory right applies, that right takes precedence over any inconsistent provision of these Terms & Conditions.

15. Damage and Liability

Locksmith work can involve working with existing locks, doors, vehicles, safes and security hardware that may already be damaged, worn, defective, seized or otherwise compromised.

AutoKeyMaster will take reasonable care when carrying out services. However, the customer acknowledges that the condition and construction of the existing security equipment may affect the work and its outcome.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation would be prohibited by law, including liability arising from negligence where it cannot lawfully be excluded.

16. Delays and Circumstances Outside Our Control

AutoKeyMaster will make reasonable efforts to attend appointments and complete agreed work within the time communicated to the customer.

We are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances reasonably outside our control, including severe weather, traffic, road closures, emergency incidents, unavailable parts, vehicle breakdowns, restricted access or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

17. Service Records

Where applicable, AutoKeyMaster may maintain a record of the service, including customer details, identity or authority checks, the service requested, work carried out, payment information and other information necessary for business, legal, accounting or regulatory purposes.

Locksmith opening records may be maintained where required by applicable PSA requirements or other applicable law.

18. Personal Data

Personal data collected in connection with enquiries, appointments, services, invoices and customer records is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy explains what personal data we process, why we process it, how it is retained and the rights available to individuals.

We make reasonable efforts to keep information on the AutoKeyMaster website accurate and up to date.
